Quote of the Day - Words from Pablo Picasso
Another one of my Picasso favorites.
I guess I’m not normal then. Oh well.
Ad of the Day - Sprite Shower
Granted this really isnt an ad but you just got to give it up to the Coca-Cola’s marketing for coming up with simple creative ideas to bring home the core message.
This is just about as good as the Happiness Vending Machine. (peep the follow up post)
Ad of the Day - The right way to use QR codes.
QR (quick response) codes were the big thing in marketing last year. Everyone and their mom jumped on the bandwagon (just like those undeserving Heats fans). People would put QR codes everywhere. I when I say everywhere I mean EVERYWHERE. You name it and a QR code was on it at a point in time. They went on everything from plausible static locations like MTA posters in the subway and promotional flyers for w/e to stupid moving locations like on taxis and highway billboards to just plain retarded places like 30 second TV ads.
Have you tried scanning a QR code?? From the time it takes you to notice it, get interested, take out your phone, launch the app and take the pic the QR code would probably no longer be present via TV or moving bus. I guess most people were just to slow to realize it.
Fortunately, there are a handle full of people that figured out creative way to make use of the faded fade. This video is now my favorite use if QR codes to date. Check it out.
